It's Been A WHILE!

Hey There!

Let's see.. the last time I posted was on January 27th... YIKES! Well, I'm back and I promise to post more frequently. A lot has happened since January 27th, one of them being my WONDERFUL, TERRIFIC, AMAZING trip to FL & The Bahamas!

Last night, I came back from the best trip to date. My boyfriend and I decided to get away for the week and had a GREAT TIME!

First Stop... Fort Lauderdale

Getting off the plane, we were quite excited! I was really excited because it was my first time in Sunny Florida (pathetic, I know). As soon as we got off, ,we searched for the terminal where we were to pick up our rental car. We decided on a red Toyota Yaris (they didn't have, better yet, we couldn't afford the luxury car we wanted lol). Now it was time to head to Ft.Lauderdale's Welcome Center to pick up our hotel vouchers. This was an adventure because the GPS kept bringing us the wrong way SMH. After awhile, our excitement slowly drifted away and turned to frustration. After about an hour and half searching for the Welcome Center, we finally found it and proceeded to our hotel.

Our first night in Ft. Lauderdale we SLEPT. We were EXHAUSTED! But the next morning, WE EXPLORED! First stop... ALLIGATORS! Although my boyfriend is deathly afraid of alligators, he's still quite fascinated with them. (He's a weirdo lol). So to an alligator show we went...

We quickly found out the crazy guy who puts his life on the line doing these crazy tricks with these alligators is from MASSACHUSETTS. He described himself as a "Masshole".

Alligators feel EWW but it was still cool!

I bet you can tell how fascinated he is LMAO

This guy is CRAZY!!!

After this man risk his life, we decided to go back to the hotel room to relax for a bit. Later that night, we went to the RiverWalk for a little sightseeing.

He also has a fascination with boats lol

On our last day in Ft. Lauderdale we decided to hit the beach before boarding the cruise ship

he always steals my shades smh

Second Stop...BAHAMAS!

Before getting to the beautiful island, we spend 2 nights on the Bahamas Celebration Cruise Ship! It was GREAT! One the boat there were clubs, a casino, a mini water park for the kiddos, restaurants, game rooms, hot tubs, pools, bars, and more!

Being on the cruise was great, we were never bored because there was ALWAYS something to do! But spending the day in the Bahamas took the cake for me. It was BE-YUTI-FULLLL!

I think the best thing we did while in the Bahamas was snorkeling. Anyone who knows me KNOWS I am DEATHLY afraid of big bodies of water, but I DID IT! I was scared out of my mind, but I DID IT! & it was GREAT! :)

After snorkeling, we walked around and enjoyed Port Lucaya. We ate and shopped (two of my favorite things to do :) )

rice and peas, cole slaw, and fried conch (lambi for my Haitians lol)

Last Stop...Orlando!

This was the last of our trip and again, we had a great time. No, we did not go to Disney World, but our hotel was only 10 minutes away! Instead, we decided to go to the Ripley's Believe or Not Museum and Universal Studios.

.

And there you have it. These pictures could not justify the amount of fun we had! One thing I learned from this trip that life is too short to be stagnant. You need to do things you never thought of doing! Life is given to be lived and that is exactly what I plan on doing with it.

Bahamas.. see you soon!

:)
